Beyond the "Monster Home": Our 2025 Market Predictions

🌴Market Pūle – 🔮Predicting the END!
For Buyers
Single-Family Homes:
Inventory remains tight, so competition persists for the most desirable homes. Prices are holding steady or rising slightly, but there are more listings than last year, giving you more choice and a bit less pressure. If you’re looking for a home to live in, buying now still makes sense, especially as mortgage rates are expected to decline gradually, improving affordability over time. Adjustable-rate mortgages offer an opportunity to save on monthly payments and increase your purchasing power.Condominiums:
This is your market. Inventory is high, prices are flat or even below long-term trends, and sellers are motivated. You have more options, more negotiating power, and less competition. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to buy a condo, conditions are in your favor.
For Sellers
Single-Family Homes:
The market remains strong for well-priced homes, especially in sought-after neighborhoods. Median prices are up 8% from last year and above previous peaks. However, expect longer market times and fewer bidding wars than in recent years. Pricing competitively and preparing your home for sale are key to attracting buyers.Condominiums:
The condo market is challenging, with a surge in listings and flat prices. Be prepared for longer selling times and more discerning buyers. Flexibility on price and terms may be necessary to secure a sale. Addressing maintenance, insurance, and building condition concerns can help your unit stand out.

My Spokane Summer Escape
Have you ever found yourself in Spokane, Washington? Just this past week, I ventured there for a much-needed mini-vacation, crashing with an old friend. The most amusing part of the trip? My friends genuinely believed my ideal getaway involved lake swimming and sunbathing. I sarcastically retorted: "Why on earth would I dip into your dirty lake when I've got a perfect, clean ocean AND I avoid the sun at home! 🤷♀️? We all shared a good laugh—a connection I truly cherish.

We went to the lake anyway, only to discover that fate had intervened: the grass was undergoing a pesticide treatment, rendering the water off-limits to everyone. 🚫 Despite the unexpected, we still savored the glorious weather and stunning scenery. It’s moments like these that truly deepen my appreciation for nature's beauty, even when it's not the vibrant, crystal-clear kind I'm accustomed to. And let's be honest, after gazing upon that lake, I'm more grateful than ever to call beautiful Oahu home, where I can always see precisely what's beneath me whenever I decide to brave the waters. 🐠🌊
Life's unexpected detours often reveal our deepest comforts and truest joys. Embrace the laughter, the surprising turns, and the places that truly feel like home.
